Acts in Review: Things to Remember!

As we wrapped up Acts, we saw that Paul was given great favor over the next two years where although he was under house arrest, his ministry was unfettered...people came to him and heard about Jesus. Imagine the impartation they left with and carried to their next destination. The Word of the Lord went with them as they travelled regardless of Paul's house arrest. Paul indeed got to preach Jesus in Rome! God's promises are secure and when He says something to you it is truly His personal promise to you, you can ride on that promise all the way to its fulfillment! Praise God! We closed out Acts on a high note, a victorious note!!

'But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this? '

(2 Corinthians 2:14-16 NLT)

Things to remember:

Acts 1: You have been given this Holy Ghost power from on high from Jesus to be His witness! Every day!

Acts 2: Where the people of God seek His face in unity and hunger, He will visit in power and change the atmosphere as He changes us.

Acts 3 & 4: The Boldness of Peter and John is the boldness of the Holy Ghost and it is yours through your faith and belief in Jesus! The Boldness of the early church!

Acts 5: You can't fool the Holy Ghost, so don't try!

Acts 6 & 7: The conviction, the love, and the faith of Stephen!

Acts 8: The willing and obedient heart of Philip the evangelist and the hungry heart of the Ethiopian Eunuch!

Acts 9: The astounding conversion of Paul the apostle!

Acts 10: The missionary heart of God to Cornelius and his household, room for Gentiles too!

Acts 11: The Jewish followers of Jesus glorify God for reaching Gentiles with the salvation of Jesus!

Acts 12: When the church earnestly prays; the Lord mightily answers!

Acts 13 & 14: 5 men worshiping, praying, and fasting together; the Holy Spirit speaks and sends (1st Missionary Journey: P & B). Worship, pray, fast, listen, repeat: worship, pray, fast, listen, then act. Faith in Action; Acts in Action!

Acts 15: The Jerusalem Council.

Acts 16: Pray & Worship like Paul & Silas; Break through barriers like Paul & team; Do whatever we have to do in love like Timothy to bring the Gospel; Let Jesus work through our lives! (2nd Missionary Journey)

Acts 17: Be provoked in love for the sake of the Gospel!

Acts 18: God will supply relationships! Priscilla & Aquila

Acts 19: Be known! Be known in the Heavenly places in the Supernatural realm in the secret place with your Father (7 sons of Sceva: Jesus, Paul, but who are you?)

Acts 20: Paul lays on a dead young man and Jesus resurrects him! Let the Kingdom of God come to your life! Live bigger than yourself!

Acts 21-23: Move forward in obedience into supernatural destiny even when you do not see all the steps!

Acts 24-25: God often uses "obstacles" to move things into place to get us to the next chapter He is writing in our lives! Understand the Kingdom of God and live out of that understanding!

Acts 26: “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”' let that phrase ring in your heart, it is a call to us to persuade with as much love and boldness as we possibly can!

Acts 27: Keep the object of your faith Jesus and His word of promise to you and when the ship breaks apart you'll come up on dry land!

Acts 28: 'For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.'

(Acts of the Apostles 28:30-31)

When the Kingdom of God comes, you cannot stop it! When it breaks through and breaks out, it is by God's Mighty Arm and through His people and is unstoppable! The Holy Spirit and the message of the Kingdom bypasses all human effort or ability and goes straight to the heart with the love of Jesus!

And that is what we have been praying for and desiring to emulate here together during this time in Acts, during this time proclaiming and living out: Faith in Action, Acts in Action: I want this phrase to continue to reverberate through you because when you step out and put your faith in action you are the Book of Acts in Action, today!!! In your world, your sphere of influence, you are that living testimony to Jesus!

That empowered early church moving about their world, carrying Jesus wherever they go! That is who we are now, Jesus' empowered church!

In Christ's Love,
