August Expectation

Dear Evergreen Church,

July was an extraordinary month for us as we moved into our new meeting space and had our first service there on July 10th!! We are still constantly rejoicing and thanking God for opening this door of opportunity for our church! Tomorrow (July 31st) marks our 4th Sunday in our new church space. I don't know about you, but I am still filled with excitement and anticipation every time we get together in our new location!

We serve, bless, and praise the same God as we did when we were meeting in our home. We feel His Presence as we did when we met in our home, but I am telling you something happens when you cross over to the other side. When you take possession of the place that God has set aside for you, there is a new level, a next level of stepping into the destiny He has for you as a community of faith. We took those next steps with faith, and we will continue to walk in faith in this new season of Evergreen. God is giving the increase in every respect, physically and spiritually! Physically not only have we crossed over to that other side, but in faith we believe, even before we see that He is already physically sending more hungry people to Evergreen. Spiritually, God is giving the increase in seeding the heavens over Evergreen with clouds full of His Presence...He rained down on us a special visitation of His Presence that first Sunday there, and this past Tuesday at prayer meeting His Presence and nearness were so strong I did not want to leave the meeting.

Tomorrow, God wants to meet with us! He is always ready to meet with us! When we bring our expectation and faith in Him, then He comes with His Mighty Hand and anointing to set us free, to minister to our needs, and to establish us further in our faith. If you will come prepared to worship Him and honor Him, something special will happen among us! Purpose in your heart today, to come into the house of God tomorrow (either in person or online for our remote members) with a heart full of expectation, a heart full of gratitude, and a heart full of praise to our God and experience what He will do in your heart and in our service together as a community!

I am looking forward to all that God has prepared for Evergreen Church in the coming days, weeks, months, and years! Will you join me in that excitement and anticipation?

A couple of notes on our calendar below, Tuesday August 16th starts our next session of Discovery Group where we will be starting a new series learning about the End Times and what the Bible tells us about this very important subject, plus we will keep the DG time to 6:00 PM each time; however, we will do a meal one Tuesday and snacks the other Tuesday. An important change to Discovery Group is that we will start meeting at the church space for our meal/snacks and small group time (2764 Capital Circle NE, 32308) each time we meet.

John Oakley will be leading this session's content. Not only has John been a student of the Word of God for almost fifty years, but more specifically he has been a student of the prophetic books of the Bible from minor prophetic books to Daniel, Ezekiel, and Revelation for several years. It is a passion of his and I am personally eager to learn more on this subject and hope you will join us!
