Join us for Advent and Christmas Eve!!

We want to extend an invitation to you and all of your loved ones to join us for the last two Sundays of Advent, this Sunday, December 17th and next Sunday, Christmas Eve, December 24th. Our theme this Advent is "JESUS: The Door, Our Gift" and so far we have focused on Jesus as the door of hope and the door of greatness! Advent messages serve to keep us grounded in the true reason for Christmas, Jesus' first arrival to save humanity, but they also serve to comfort, strengthen and inspire the people of God to stay close to His heart this season. We pray that these messages might inspire people who do not know Jesus yet to see how He came individually for them and loves them specifically. When we feel lost, lonely or weak we can look to the humility of Mary, of the shepherds, and most of all Jesus Himself as a tiny baby in the manger and remember that He is so very close to us, God with us, Emmanuel.

Our Christmas Eve service will take place at the regular Sunday morning gathering time, 11:00 am on the 24th! I encourage you to invite family and friends you would normally not think to invite because this is truly a time for coming together. We will have a candlelit singing portion of the service in addtion to the regular meeting, but what will make it stand out is the warmth and love of Jesus that surrounds our Christmas Eve services. We believe that this will be a very special way to start off your Christmas Eve plans, honoring the newborn King plus spending quality time with those you love in an inviting and relaxed atmosphere!

After Advent Sundays we will have one more Sunday in December, the 31st, which will also be a regular Sunday morning service. What better way to close out 2023 and ring in 2024 than to be gathered together the 31st? Below you'll find a few notes to highlight the rest of our dates in December. Remember that we are gathering canned food: fruit, vegetables, meat (tuna/chk), hearty soups, cereal and peanut butter from December 17th to December 20th for our December missions offering, and you may also donate through Evergreen financially by marking your gift for Second Harvest.
